Self-Assessment
AI Readiness Mini-Audit
15 questions that surface your biggest automation opportunity. 10 minutes.
Before you spend money on AI tools, run this. 15 questions about how your business actually operates today: communication volume, data management, client flow, team size, current tools, and where things break down when volume increases. The output tells you exactly where to start and what to ignore.
What's inside
- Section 1: Communication load, including volume, channels, and response time expectations
- Section 2: Repetitive tasks, what happens the same way every day or every week
- Section 3: Data and records, how client information moves through your business
- Section 4: Current tools, what you already have and whether it is actually doing anything
- Section 5: Growth blockers, what breaks first when your volume increases
- Output: your top 1 to 2 automation priorities with estimated time and cost recovery
Why it works
Most AI consultants start with the tools they want to sell you. This audit starts with your operation and works backward to the tools that actually fit. The 15 questions were built from patterns I have seen across 20 or more business audits. The same bottlenecks show up in different forms. This finds yours in 10 minutes.

How to score
- For each question, score yourself honestly: 2 = fully handled and automated, 1 = partially handled or manual, 0 = not handled.
- Add up your total out of 30.
- Do not score based on plans. Score based on what is actually running right now.
- This takes 10 minutes. Set a timer. Do not overthink each question.
Section 1: Communication and Follow-Up

Your results
0 to 10 -- High automation opportunity: Your business has significant manual overhead limiting growth. The good news: most of this is fixable in under 30 days. Start with Section 1 (Communication). These produce the fastest visible results and the most direct revenue recovery.
11 to 20 -- Partially automated: You have systems in place but the gaps are costing you time and leads. Focus on the questions where you scored 0 or 1 in Section 2. That is usually where the most operational drag lives.
21 to 30 -- Well-structured: Your operations are in better shape than most businesses at your stage. The remaining gaps are optimisation opportunities, not emergencies. Worth addressing when you are ready to scale.
Any section with 3 or more scores of 0 or 1: that section is your highest-leverage area. A focused 90-minute session on one section is usually enough to design the fix. Booking a call is the fastest way to get from the audit results to an actual plan.
