The Free, Local ElevenLabs

OmniVoice Studio is the open-source ElevenLabs. 646 languages, no subscription. Set up via Claude Code in under 10 minutes.

OmniVoice Studio is the open-source equivalent of ElevenLabs: 646 languages and accents, unlimited generation, no subscription, runs entirely on your machine. Voice quality is comparable to ElevenLabs on most standard voices. Claude Code installs and configures the whole thing in under 10 minutes with a single prompt.

How to do it

  1. 1Open Claude Code and run: "Install and configure OmniVoice Studio locally. Use the standard install path, run a test generation, and confirm the output plays correctly."
  2. 2Claude Code clones the repo, installs all dependencies, and runs the first test generation automatically
  3. 3Browse the 646 available voice models. Filter by language, gender, accent, and style to find the right voice for your content
  4. 4Generate your first voiceover: `omnivoice generate --text "your script here" --voice [voice-id] --output output.mp3`
  5. 5For batch generation (multiple scripts at once): create a text file with one script per line and run the batch command
  6. 6Integrate into your content pipeline: OmniVoice exposes a local REST API that works as a drop-in replacement in any Make or n8n workflow

Why it works

ElevenLabs charges $22/month and throttles on the starter plan. OmniVoice is unlimited and local. For anyone generating voiceover content at scale, whether YouTube scripts, ad creatives, training materials, or podcast segments, the cost difference compounds fast and the quality difference on standard voices is minimal.
